Utah or Bust!!

While on my track break I decided to go up to Utah to help my parents get ready to come home from their mission and to visit Tiffany, Greg and Evan. I had thought about going up the 2nd week of December, but because of a free trip to Magic Mountain (thanks Cory) with the key club kids from my brother's high school, I postponed it to the next Monday. Well there was supposed to be a pretty bad storm from Las Vegas to Salt Lake so I (and others) was nervous to head out. But equipped with Rodney's truck I decided to be brave and go see Evan and the rest of my family. Needless to say that bravery went away when I hit a snowstorm outside of St. George on my way to Cedar City. I had to slow down to about 45 miles an hour and it was pretty hard to see too far in front of me. A car that skidded off of the road into the median didn't help ease my fears. But after Cedar the snow stopped and it was pretty good driving. I made it to Tiff's house without any damage (to me or Rodney's truck).

While I was in Utah, I helped Tiff at her school, played and napped with Evan, visited with my parents, and ate at Roy's (formerly known as Fat Jack's). We even went and got a shake from the Malt Shop (even though it was only like 25 degrees outside). I had a lot of fun and I'm glad I went even though I missed the great Vegas snowstorm. Rodney was pretty sad that he had to drive my little car on the messed up roads with all the crazy people instead of his nice 4-wheel drive truck. The only thing that would have made my trip more perfect is if I had been able to see Kamie. But we weren't able to meet up. Next time I'll make sure to stop in or give her more notice for Fat Jack's.
