Well both Rodney & I have survived the first week of school. Rodney's classes seem to be okay. So far he hasn't had any major problems with his students. It's been good for me to. I had a couple of cryers, but nothing major. They stopped crying basically as soon as we were in the classroom and they were away from their parents. In my afternoon class I have 5 little girls that all look alike so I am having a really hard time remebering who is who. Hopefully I'll do better next week.
This school year seems really different for me. We have a new principal and a lot of new teachers. I am also the only kindergarten teacher at my school that teaches both and AM and a PM class. The other teachers only teach either an AM class or a PM class. So I don't have any one with me all day. And of course I miss having Tiffany at school with me. We did all our planning together and now that my school has a new math program I could really use her help. But I'll survive. Hopefully we'll both continue to have good experiences at school but for now we are going to enjoy our first three day weekend.

Sob, sob, sniff, sniff. It took me over three hours to figure out a new center rotation to incorporate the teaching assistant I have. Not to mention I planned out a full week of plans, forgetting that Monday was Labor Day until I had finished.
Hi Carrie! I hope you remember who I am, I found your blog from Heidi's. It was fun to read about what's been going on in your life. That's really exciting that you are adopting; our best friends are in the process of adopting a baby , they only have 9 weeks left and she will be here, and it really is such an exciting time! How are your Mom and Dad doing? Please keep in touch, this is why blogging is so fun!
I am glad that you had a good week at school. I still wish that Cadence could have you as a teacher!! I hope that you have a good year.
